Day 1 – Thursday, 22 October: Arrival & Warm-Up Round

Your season finale begins in the beautiful surroundings of Villa Carolina Golf Resort.

18-hole Warm-Up Round: Start your golfing getaway with a relaxing round at Villa Carolina Golf Club. A perfect opportunity to settle into the resort atmosphere, get acquainted with the course and enjoy your first swings before the tournament day.

Welcome Drink: Meet fellow participants, reconnect with friends and raise a glass to the final golf event of the season in a relaxed and convivial setting.

Dinner at the Resort: The day concludes with a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, where authentic regional cuisine and excellent local wines provide the perfect start to a memorable Season Closing experience.

Day 2 – Friday, 23 October: Season Closing Tournament

Today is all about golf, competition and celebrating another fantastic season.

Stableford Tournament: Following breakfast, players tee off for the official Season Closing Tournament at Villa Carolina Golf Club. Enjoy a memorable day of golf surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Piedmont, combining sporting challenge with the pleasure of playing alongside fellow participants. To ensure maximum comfort throughout the round, golf carts are included for all players.

Dinner & Prize Ceremony: The evening continues with a delightful dinner at the resort, where participants come together to celebrate the highlights of the day. The official prize ceremony recognises the top performances of the Season Closing Tournament, creating a festive atmosphere and the perfect conclusion to an enjoyable day on the course.

Day 3 – Saturday, 24 October: Discovering the Langhe & Marchesi di Barolo

A day dedicated to one of Italy's most celebrated wine regions.

Transfer to Barolo: After breakfast, a private transfer takes you into the heart of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape renowned for its vineyards and gastronomic traditions.

Guided visit at Marchesi di Barolo: Discover the history and heritage of one of Piedmont's most iconic wineries. The experience begins with a welcome drink before a guided tour through the historic wine cellars.

Wine & Gastronomy Experience: Enjoy a refined four-course lunch accompanied by a tasting of four carefully selected wines from the Marchesi di Barolo collection. An authentic journey through the flavours and traditions of the region.

Return to Villa Carolina: In the afternoon, transfer back to the resort with time to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Villa Carolina Golf & Resort – where golf simply does you good When you arrive as a golfer, you immediately notice that Villa Carolina is more than just a resort. It feels like a private hideaway surrounded by greenery, perfectly nestled in the hills of Monferrato – a place where you can switch off, enjoy long drives and end the day with a glass of Piedmontese wine. Even at breakfast, you can look out over the fairways and feel the urge to go straight back out again. The resort has two courses, each with its own character: La Marchesa is technically challenging, with varied fairways and cleverly placed bunkers. Il Marchesino is a little more open, ideal for a relaxed round or to warm up. Both courses are extremely well maintained – lush fairways, fast and honest greens, just as you would want them to be. What makes your stay really enjoyable is that everything is close by. You can walk straight from your room to the tee, grab an espresso in the clubhouse lounge and be on the range in two minutes. The resort is compact, quiet and stylish – without any unnecessary frills, simply a place where you feel at home. After your round, the wellness area or pool awaits, and if you fancy some good food, you don’t have to go far: the in-house restaurant serves regional dishes that are perfect after a long day of golf. Piedmont simply has it all: great wines and honest food. As soon as you leave the county road connecting Novi Ligure to Ovada and take the avenue lined with centuries-old chestnuts, leading to the clubhouse, Villa Carolina Golf Club will fascinate you, from the very first moment. The clubhouse, an eighteenth century villa, carefully restored according to listed building regulations, offers a wide range of facilities in the heart of a big park: the complex belonged to a noble family from Genoa and in 1992 was acquired by a group of 5 co-founding partners. Nowadays in the estate there are two 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, two swimming pools and several dwellings, some of which made out of the renovation of ancient farmhouses. The historical imprint and the familiar atmosphere define the charm of a club where you really feel at home. The “La Marchesa” course was the first one created and alternates an American style – long fairways, light undulating ground, large greens – with more delicate holes such as hole 10, 11 and 12, that leave little margin for mistake. The “Paradiso” course, with its back 9 holes, completed in 2014, is much more hilly, with more important height drops and rather insidious greens. La Marchesa most beautiful spots are on tee 7, a 305m par 4, from which, with a little luck, you may see many ducks and herons in the nearby stream; hole 11, a 402 m par 4, stunning in its natural beauty, runs through the woods without any intervention on the ground; after the second shot, getting closer to the green, you may happen to see deers grazing the grass. Last but not least, the most refined dining, (and the best value for money) is undoubtedly here. Pro’s comments Villa Carolina offers two outstanding courses: La Marchesa and Il Paradiso. La Marchesa is the more level of the two, with broad greens that are well-defended by insidious bunkers. I would like to mention two very challenging par 3s on this course: Holes 5 and 12, very long (both 189 meters from the yellow tees) with greens well-defended by water (the 12th) and bunkers (the 5th). Scoring two pars is complicated even for expert players. Il Paradiso is completely different, as it is more undulating with small and difficult greens. I recommend Hole 7 to Bubba Watson’s emulators: a par 5 of 561 meters from the furthest tees, all uphill, with a lake on the right side which affects the second and third shots and a split-level green. Majestic and imposing, a signature hole you aren’t likely to forget.
