Golf Club Toscana - Golf course information & golf holiday offers

The 18 holes of Toscana were conceived by the well-known british designer Keith Preston and they have been inaugurated in 1999. Some years later, in 2003, it has been recognized as one of the best ten courses in Italy and it hosts the Alp Tour and several Pro Arms. The course is not particularly long, but it requires precision: there are a lot of water hazards which represent a trap for the players, but, on the other way, their presence enhances the beauty of the place, fairways are always green and cared of, even in the hottest summer season. Each hole has its own character and the fairways are huge. The course is pleasant and sometimes sweetly hilly and offers an amusing and spectacular play.

Technical Details

Course: 18 holes, Par 71, 5852 meters

Architect: Keith Preston

Topography: flat at the beginning and then very hilly.

Huge greens and a lot of water hazards.

Distinctive features: the sport equipment has to be complete: good

Quality drivers, precise golf clubs and the best putters. Skill, flexibility

And concentration are the qualities needed to play on these greens.

Pro’s comments

Amidst the Maremma hills, the Golf Club Toscana is technically demanding and full of obstacles. There are water hazards on at least 9 holes. The greens are mostly large, but undulating and difficult to read. There are also various out of bounds near the fairways. The most beautiful view is guaranteed on the tee of the 18th hole, from here you can see as far as the island of Elba, simply wonderful!

Beautifully located facility

Topographically beautifully situated course, very good restaurant. Very well playable on foot. Tees and greens quite OK, farways very dry.

***

The course is currently in poor condition: a lot of burnt fairways.

This could be a great course

Superb surroundings, magnificent views, well-designed and challenging holes, very professional welcome. Just one suggestion: mow the rough, it's hell, one run off the track and you're practically guaranteed a lost ball. This course has enormous potential and everything it needs to be a great one.

The best

The course and clubhouse facilities were completely convincing. For us the most beautiful course we have played.

Honestly, this is not a golf course. This should not be offered for a golf vacation!!!!!

Hello, thank you very much for your contribution. I know the Golf Club Toscana personally and certainly it is a golf course. From time to time there are problems with the state of maintenance. We will follow up on your comment in that regard. Thank you very much

Nice course but rustic maintenance.

Too bad, it could be the most beautiful course if it was better maintained. On the other hand, the accommodations we were given were poorly located and the air conditioning did not work well. Excellent buffet breakfast. Stay much too expensive for the season: swimming pool closed, works. Very bad quality/price ratio.

review the access policy to the driving range

very nice club it is a pity that one is obliged to pay (10 € per person) the tracer to go to the practice

Fairways inexistant

It's a pity the course is well designed with a nice life on the sea. The greens are good but the fairway is really non-existent neither planted nor mowed of the plates of ground one has even evil to know where is the course. With some maintenance and watering and watering it should improve.

Thank you for your comment, we will contact the plant to find out what the reasons are.
