Liguria is a coastal region in northwest Italy; the capital is Genoa. The region almost coincides with the Italian Riviera and is popular with tourists for its beaches, towns and cuisine. Golf in Liguria includes, from directly on the sea to picturesque in the mountains with magnificent sea views. There are enough good golf courses with 9 or 18 holes for you to choose from, in Liguria. The Circolo Golf degli Ulivi in Sanremo is well known and very popular among golfers. Due to the nature of the Maritime Alps, the golf courses of Liguria offer challenging terrain of difficulty levels predominantly medium to difficult, especially the clubs Arenzano, Garlenda and St. Anna, whereby only the last two clubs also have a driving range. Temperatures in the winter months sometimes reach up to 25 degrees Celsius when the sun is shining, but then you can also expect a lot of wind.
